Narcolepsy: A Short Documentary

This is a documentary for the Discovery Health Channel (not really). Today’s documentary is about narcolepsy. A video project for Human Anatomy class during senior year at Anaheim High. Starring my friend and his group members. I was the cameraman and editor.

ahahahahahaha you guys are mexican lol im so sorry

That’s what my first two doctors told me, then they said I had Depression, then they said I had ADD (but not the kind they prescribe stimulants to). Then my parents and church told me that my terrifying hallucinations were clear evidence that I was possessed by Satan.

After tens of thousands of dollars, a decade of suffering to the point of not wanting to live, a sleep lab found EVIDENCE of severe narcolepsy. Opinion/faith based medical practices are scams, a skeptic they turned me into.

too many chongas

yeah i know that feeling

I was going to click away, but decided to watch this instead.. and ended up appreciating the ideas you put forward. It is good to see that you decided to draw attention to this issue in a humorous and well-thought out way without mocking. Nice video.

heh “You may have narcolepsy” …

My first doctor told me to shut the hell up and quit being a lazy bastard.

Yes, it was.

I, along with everyone involved in the video, apologize any offensiveness you might have taken.

well i do appreciate that you made this video…and i’m sure your hearts were in the right place. i have narcolepsy…and i just wanted to let you know when narcoleptics collapse we are not sleeping…therefore we do not snore when we collapse. it is a condition called catoplexy. it looks as though we are sleeping, but we are aware of everything around us…we are just unable to move. was this a school project?
