It’s not about the creepy stuff. It’s about being in deep trouble. The tape loop Stephan Jenkins was singing about is about the past going over and over in ones head. The first verse goes “I’m on a train, but there’s no one at the helm, and there’s a demon in my brain who starts to overwhelm”. It means nobody steers his life at that particular moment, or he’s just going nowhere fast. The demon part is a grunge thing. Kurt Cobain mode if you know what I mean. Mosh pit ideas.
